MAKING A LIFE TOGETHER
MAKE YOUR OWN WEDDING RINGS

Couples can now design and make their own wedding rings to add a special individual creativity to their celebrations.

Anton and Rebecca have taught silversmithing and jewellery making in their workshop in Ditchling for over 15 years. The idea of offering couples this unique opportunity came when Anton invited friends to his workshop to make their own wedding rings - as a wedding present.

This wonderful opportunity is now available to everyone!

Classes are usually held on Tuesdays and each person can make one ring on that day.

The day will be great fun and absolutely anybody will end up with a perfect result. Its also great fun, highly creative and informative. Guaranteed to be an adventure!

The times are 10.00-5.00 with lunch 1.00-2.00 down the good local pub or if you prefer, you can bring your own.

The cost is £150 (includes VAT) each plus materials (plus VAT). Materials price depends on carat of gold, finger size, width and thickness of band and is worked out by weight.

A rough figure based on a 2mm wide small band and a 6mm wide large band would be:

  • 9ct gold (White or Yellow) £80 to £150
  • 18ct (White or Yellow) £150 and £500.
  • Platinum is between £250 and £1000.

It is possible to make a mixture of yellow and white golds if it is a simple design.

Additional services after the day:

  • Hallmarking is £25 per ring (please allow two weeks).
  • Engraving is £2 per letter (please allow two weeks)
  • Rhodium Plating is £30 per ring

To book please let us know three possible Tuesdays you can both make, in order of preference.

We will probably be able put you on to one of those dates, but if we cannot, we will suggest some others.

A deposit of £150 per person attending will be required on booking, material costs payable on the day. Ideally, we will need to see you in the shop to decide with you on the dimensions and size of the rings at least two weeks before your workshop date. Should this not be possible we can discuss your requirements by telephone or e-mail.

Please note that we also run General Silversmithing and Jewellery Making Classes; contact us for details.
